Abortion and Breast Cancer
Abortion and Breast cancer are considered as two of the most complicated problems and issues that can be attached with women’s health worldwide. These two problems have become a hotly debated topic, considering that both abortion and breast cancer can take any women’s life at risk. Many studies have been made in order to know if spontaneous and induced abortion can be the cause of a woman’s menace to breast cancer.
Abortion is known as the intentional early termination of a pregnancy which results to embryo or fetus’ death. Medically, abortion also refers to the early termination of a pregnancy by natural causes called the spontaneous abortion or miscarriage or to cessation of normal growth of a body part (www.wordiq.com). Another commonly known kind of abortion is the so-called induced abortions. This process is done when the child inside the pregnant women has the possibility of being dangerous to the pregnant woman’s health or if the pregnant woman itself does not want the pregnancy to continue. On the other hand, breast cancer is a malignant tumor that has developed from cells of the breast. A malignant tumor is a group of cancer cells that may invade surrounding tissues or spread (metastasize) to distant areas of the body.
